Former Knoxville Athlete Alex Edwards set a William Penn school record and qualified for the N-A-I-A Nationals in the 800 Saturday at the Jim Duncan Relays hosted by Drake University. Edwards placed fifth in the 800 with time of 1:53.70, breaking the old mark by nearly two seconds a mark that has stood since 2005. Edward’s time Saturday was just under the mark needed to qualify for Nationals which are scheduled for May 25th in Marian, Indiana.
