Do you need a smoke detector? According to Pella Fire Chief Doug Van Gorkom, smoke detectors save lives, and the Pella Fire Department and the State Fire Marshall are working together to put more smoke detectors into homes. From 8AM until noon today/tomorrow at the Pella Fire Department they will be giving away 100 fire alarms on a first come, first served basis until they are gone.
