The Knoxville Soccer Squads will be in action today. The boys travel to Norwalk in an early season pivotal match in the Little Hawkeye Conference Norwalk has dominated the series between the two teams, however the Panthers come in riding a shootout victory over Newton last week. Norwalk is still Norwalk even though the Warriors are only 3-5 on the season, they have lost to C-I-M-L and 4A powers Johnston who is 9-1, Cedar Rapids Kennedy who is 6-0, and Waukee who holds a 3-1-2 record. Panthers Coach Dylan Mick knows to get respect from anyone they not only have to play with…but even pull off a win against the Norwalks of the world. The J-V/Varsity contest begins is scheduled to begin at 5:30 at Norwalk High School. While the boys play at Norwalk, the girls host the Warriors at Ken Locke Stadium tonight in a varsity only match at six. The Panther girls have been playing better of late. This game will guarantee one of these team getting their first win of the season as the Warriors come in with an un-Norwalk like 0-5 record. Knoxville is winless in seven games.
