The Dylan Mick era for Knoxville Boys Soccer was a successful start as the Panthers routed Carlisle last night in the 2013 season opener 4-0. Collin Moyle had two goals while Alex Dye and Matt Smith each had one. Goalie Tyler Wadle picked up three saves. Mick was especially pleased with the defense as he said the guys smothered Carlisle and never allowed the Wildcats to get into a rhythm. He added offensively they did a good job of moving the ball around and worked the offense. Knoxville begins with a 1-0 record and will continue its busy week with a trip to conference foe Grinnell this evening. A note to fans attending the match…the varsity will play first at five.
