It was anything but a close affair at Pella Stadium on Tuesday night, as the Lady Dutch soccer team easily handled Indianola, 7 – 0. Pella goalkeeper, Zoe Vermeer blocked the only shot on goal by the Indians, while Ashley Kirkland, Gabi Meirick and Kelsey Brown each tallied two goals, and Bri Schroeder had a four point night, with a goal and three helpers. Coach Mark Howard said that Schroeder is going to be a force to be reckoned with on offense this year. The Lady Dutch start the season 1 – 0 and are next in action on Thursday at Fairfield.
