The National Weather Service is offering a free storm spotter class this evening in Marion County. Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Anderson says the class will include information on how storms form, storm tendencies, and how best to protect yourself. He explains having trained local storm spotters is crucial because they can confirm or deny information that radar and other technology is showing, providing a more accurate look at storm systems. The class starts at 7pm Thursday at the Marion County Public Health building.
