Not having all of their varsity players due to other obligations, the PCM girls’ soccer team dropped their contest to Newton on Saturday, 10 – 0. Coach Craig Naeve said that he played as many girls that showed up to the game, which was scheduled last minute to try and get the team an actual game, as until yesterday, the PCM girls had not played since April 6. Taylor Davenport made 14 saves, and Coach Naeve said that she was a “gem” despite all of the offense she had to try and stop from the Cardinals. PCM’s girls are now 2 – 3 on the year, and they’ll hope to continue their season this Friday at home against Heart of Iowa Conference rival, C-M-B.
