A total of 3.9 inches of rain has fallen since the storm system began, and 3.4 inches in the past 24 hours has led to a number of flood-related road closures. Major road closures include Highway 92 between Knoxville and Oskaloosa, G71 near Twin Cedars High School, and Highway 5 between Highway 92 and the Monroe County line. A number of local creeks have also gone past flood stage due to the heavy rains. They include White Breast, English, and Cedar Creeks. Twin Cedars Schools have called for a two hour delay due to the flooding.
Early this morning, a motorist drove by a county worker warning that the road ahead was closed. That motorist had to be later rescued by the worker and Bussey Fire and rescue. No one was injured.
