When you hear weather patterns being projected long-term, you usually hear meteorologists reference “El Nino” or “La Nina,” depending on whether the Pacific Ocean is warmer or colder than normal. Miller says that since those ocean temperatures are expected to remain around normal for the next 3-6 months, weather patterns will likely not see drastic changes. South-central Iowa is expected to see above normal temperatures and perception over the next three months.
