North Polk Too Much for Eagles’ Boys’ Soccer

The Pella Christian boys’ soccer team couldn’t “out-duel” North Polk on Monday night, as the Eagles fell 7 – 2. After giving up three quick goals, Pella Christian answered right back with a pair of goals from David Kish with assists from Jake DeRuiter and Thaddeus Braun. However, North Polk would come back in the second half to put the game out of reach. Eagles’ head coach, Gerrit Brouwer told KNIA/KRLS Sports that North Polk was just the better team last night; keeping control of the ball for most of the game. The 0 – 2 Eagles’ boys have little time to think about Monday’s game as they are right back on the pitch this evening, this time on the road at Albia at 7:00 p.m. Brouwer said he’s looking for his guys to learn from the loss and put that information to good use tonight.
