While race fans had to wait an extra week for the Knoxville Raceway season opening…the fans were not disappointed by the action. Larry Ball Jr. has the most exciting win in the 305 A-Main when he passed J. Kinder with two laps to go in turn three and held off Kinder to get his third career 305 win. Clint Garner used a late race restart to drive around Tyler Gronendyk to notch his 16th career 360 win at Knoxville and 63rd overall. Shane Stewart who has owned the 360 Nationals for the last three years, finally has some good luck on a regular night of racing and won the 410 show. Stewart dominated from the second lap on and even survived a couple of restarts. Brian Brown might have been able to challenge Stewart however, he blew a rear-end in his heat race and had to race from B-Main just to get into the A. Brown started 19th in the A, and made it all the way to fifth.
