In addition to Knoxville, both Pella and Pella Christian will be heading to Mahaska County today for a Co-Ed track meet in Oskaloosa. The Indians’ girls prevailed over a depleted roster for the Lady Dutch last Saturday in the Panther Relays due to their prom being held. The Pella boys’ JV team came up just short of winning the Pella Christian Invite on Tuesday, while the varsity squad won at Chariton. Coach Brent Van Hauen says that even with the lack of training this year, their times and performances are right where he thought they would be at this point in the season. Pella Christian head girls’ track coach, Kevin Herdegen says that his girls, after their first couple of meets, have gained confidence in themselves, especially the younger athletes. Today’s track meet starts bright and early at 9:00 a.m.
