Pella High boys’ had the top two golfers at their meet at Bos Landen on Thursday, beating both Norwalk and Pella Christian in a Little Hawkeye Conference match-up. Sean Rennich for the Little Dutch was the medalist on the evening with a nine-hole round of 37, with teammate Colton Bradley right behind him with a runner-up round of 39. The Eagles were led by a pair of 43’s from Mason Howerzyl and Jason Holwerda. Pella shot a total score of 160, and Pella Christian was 21 shots behind with a 181. Pella starts the season 2 – 0 in the conference and overall, while the Eagles are 0 – 1. Next up for Pella is a tournament this Monday at Bondurant-Farrar, and Pella Christian will be in Oskaloosa on Tuesday.
