Maybe all they needed was a less hectic schedule. Whatever it was, the Pella Christian boys’ soccer team nailed their first win on Monday night over Des Moines North, 3 – 2. The Eagles found the back of the net first, but the game was knotted up at one after a successful penalty kick for North. Two more first half goals were just enough to let Pella Christian walk away a winner. David Kish, Jake DeRuiter, and Edward Wang all scored goals for the Eagles, while goalkeeper Carson Dugger faced 19 shots and stopped 17 of them. Pella Christian is now 1 – 4 on the year and will have a nice breather before their next match against Oskaloosa in exactly one week.
