It went to two overtimes, but Chariton came out on top of Pella Christian in girls’ soccer action Monday night, as the Chargers won 2 – 1. It was Chariton that struck first at the 9’ mark. Bri Warden for the Eagles answered back in the 67’ to tie it up, and that’s all the scoring that would happen, until the second overtime period, when Chariton found the back of the net with a penalty kick and just two minutes remaining on the clock. Eagles’ goalkeeper, Jenna Roose had 12 saves for Pella Christian, who falls to 1 – 6 this season, and they are right back on the pitch today, at home against Oskaloosa at 7:00 p.m.
