Pella Tennis Splits up to Play Southeast Polk

The Pella High tennis teams will be playing Southeast Polk today in two different locations. The boys will play in Altoona while the girls are at Caldwell Park. Head girls’ coach, Tiffany Rohe, says that with numbers up this year on her team, she has been very lucky to have seniors step up and act as coaches for the younger Lady Dutch members of the team. This will be the first meet of the season for the Pella girls’ tennis team. However, this will be the third set of matches for the Little Dutch, who currently have a 2 – 0 record. They just recently beat Grinnell, and according to head coach Nick Seipel, his team was a little sloppy in the doubles matches and hopes he was able to address some “cleaning up” during practice yesterday. Each meet gets underway at 4:15 p.m. this afternoon.
