Not having the same privileges as several of the bigger schools do with having an all-weather track, the Melcher-Dallas girls’ track and field team is making the most of their time spent at practices regardless of what’s happening outside. Jim Crozier, the Saints’ Athletic Director and head coach of the track team, has had the girls working on popular workout videos during their time together. Crozier says that he has been having the team do circuit workouts and exercise along to Insanity or P90X to make sure they are working all the time. He does admit that it is harder than if they had an all-weather track, so they have to find a lot of different ways to make practice work out for the girls. The Melcher-Dallas Saints will begin their track season with a meet on Tuesday at Nodaway Valley at 5:00 p.m.
