Strong showings marked the evening for the Pella Christian girls’ track team in Davis County Tuesday night. Among the first place showings were Sarah Meyer in the 100 meter dash, Christa Veenstra in the 400, and Madison Fopma tied for first in the high jump with a leap of 4’8”. The sprint medley relay and 4 x 100 meter relay teams each recorded a first place finish as well. The Eagles as a team had 94 points which was good for third place, trailing second place Pekin by only three, and host Davis County captured first with 180 points. The Pella Christian girls’ track team is next in action this Saturday at the Panther Relays in Knoxville.
