Small Ball Working So Far for Central Baseball

Finding time to rest has not been a problem for Central baseball this year with all of the cancellations and postponements. Seeing as how their last set of games ended in a four game sweep of Dubuque last Saturday, the Dutch are ready to go, and will be on the road to begin another four game swing today in Cedar Rapids against Coe. Central has won five straight, and four of those wins came by just one run. Coach Adam Stevens told KNIA/KRLS Sports that this is just like the team from last year winning most of the close games; the 2012 Dutch were 8 – 2 during the regular season in games decided by one run. You can catch today’s doubleheader live on 92.1 KRLS and streamed live at KNIAKRLS.com with Cory Houser and Justin Webster on the call. The start of the twinbill has been pushed back by an hour due to the field conditions at Coe; pregame coverage is scheduled to start at 1:45 p.m. now and first pitch is on for 2:00.
