The Pleasantville Memorial Hall’s rental program could be changing. The Board of Supervisors discussed a rental agreement with their Memorial Hall board during their regular meeting yesterday. The County currently owns the building that’s leased by the Pleasantville American Legion. They, in turn, rent it out for events and celebrations. The Supervisors talked about the County’s own liability concerns and said that an armed law enforcement officer may need to be present if any group is drinking alcohol within the building, no matter the size or age. The City of Pleasantville is also considering purchasing the building from the county; further discussions on that may be held at a later date.
