Central softball catcher, Caitlyn Meyer and senior track and field athlete, Felicia Coleman each earned Iowa Conference honors for their latest performances. Last week, Meyer batted .667 in four games, going 10-for-15 with three long balls, a double, three runs scored, and eight driven in. Coleman prevailed in three events on Saturday down in Missouri at Washington University winning individually in the 100 and 200 meter dashes, and ran the third leg of the winning 4 x 100 relay. The Dutch women’s softball team had their doubleheader yesterday cancelled and will be in action next at home this Saturday against Dubuque, while the women’s track and field team will be in Des Moines, participating in the Jim Duncan Invitational this Friday and Saturday.
