Both Pella High tennis teams had different results during their meets on Monday. The Pella boys’ tennis team took down Boone on Monday afternoon 8 – 3. Michael Schemm, Tom Palmer, Aaron Van Maanen, and Tom Pettit all were double winners on the night with a win in the singles and doubles matches. Head coach, Nick Seipel told KNIA/KRLS Sports that this is the first year in his five years as head coach that he has been able to beat a very strong Boone program. Seipel also said that it was nice to see his guys rise to the occasion, play smart tennis and come away with a quality win over a quality opponent. Unfortunately, the Lady Dutch could not say the same, as they were swept by Boone 11 – 0. The Pella boys are off until Saturday to play in Knoxville’s tennis invitational, while the girls are back at it today against Pella Christian.
