This Saturday is Pella Race for Your Schools Night at the Knoxville Raceway. All students up-to-and-including high schoolers will be admitted for free during the season’s opening race. Adults can use coupons that were passed out at area schools – for every adult ticket bought with that coupon, five dollars goes to the local school of your choice. General Manager Brian Stickel says the promotion is part of the effort to provide an affordable, family-friendly event. The weather is supposed to cooperate Saturday as well. We’re expected to have clear skies; temperatures will start the night at about 62 degrees, falling to 54 by 10pm.

Tonight’s free practice night starts at 7pm at the Raceway; it’ll be 60 degrees when the first cars turn laps.
