The Pella boys’ soccer team took advantage of their opportunities while Perry had a hard time getting anything going, as the Little Dutch prevailed Monday, 2 – 0. Austin Van Genderen got one past the goalie towards the end of the first half, thanks to a long, bouncing pass that carried with the wind to just the right spot. The Little Dutch were able to withstand the offensive pressure put on by Perry in the second half, and even tallied another goal off the foot of Seth Johnson to come away with the win. Pella is 5 – 2 – 1 overall and 2 – 0 in the conference, and will look to improve to 3 – 0 today at home against Pella Christian.
