They may have added three strokes to their score from Wednesday, but the Central men’s golf team still moved up in the field of 15 yesterday in the NCAA Division III Championships. Central is now tied for 12th after a third round 303, bringing their score for the tournament to 909 and are tied with Schreiner University out of Texas. With 18 holes left, Central is 33 strokes behind the leader, Transylvania. The next closest schools within reach are just four strokes ahead of the Dutch at 905. Justin Livingston for Central is tied for 27th overall individually, while his teammate, Adam Squires, leaped 46 spots after his third-round score of 72, to move into a tie for 43rd. Today is the last day of the touranment, and Coach Chad Green hopes his team can at least crack the top ten.
