After sweeping Luther on Saturday, Central’s baseball squad split their action on Sunday, and earned a spot in the conference tournament later this week. Central won the first game 14 – 1, taking advantage of several Norse errors and scoring nine runs in the first three innings. The Dutch would drop the nightcap, 3 – 1, but their win in game one secured a spot in the league tournament, which takes place on Thursday in Cedar Rapids on Perfect Game Field inside Veterans Memorial Stadium. The tournament seeds and opponents are still to be determined.
