Eagles’ Boys’ Golf Good for Third Place, Girls Fall to Norwalk

The Pella Christian boys’ golf squad shot well amidst a tough field, while the girls had a little trouble with Norwalk yesterday. The Eagles’ boys were third to Little Hawkeye Conference champs, Grinnell, and Des Moines Christian. Justin Stravers shot an 80, which was good for ninth place overall. The Eagles had a team score of 330, and the Tigers shot 302 to win the meet. For the girls, Norwalk’s total round of 191 was 21 strokes better than Pella Christian’s 212 on the day. Both Autumn Vos and Amy Dunsbergen shot a 50 for the low scores for the Eagles. The Eagles’ boys will play at North Mahaska later today, and the girls will golf at Colfax-Mingo on Friday.
