A fast start for the Pella Christian girls’ soccer team just wasn’t enough against Perry Monday night, as the Eagles fell 6 – 3. Abby Pleima scored just 4:30 into the game, but Perry evened it up later in the first half to make the score 1 – 1 going into the locker room. Pleima scored again early in the second half to knot the score up once again at two-all, but Perry would find the back of the net four consecutive times to seal the deal. Morgan DeRuiter for the Eagles also connected on a penalty kick late in the game to round out the scoring for Pella Christian. Pella Christian’s girls are now 4 – 9 on the year and will host Knoxville this evening.
