Corey Elliott of the Little Dutch golf team finished the 2013 season up on Saturday. The lone representative from Pella High at the Class 3A boys’ state golf tournament placed 19th out of 64 golfers at the Ames Country Club after scoring a total of 164 for the two-day tourney. Elliott shot a day one 83 and followed that up by knocking two strokes off his score in day two. The Little Dutch golfer was just nine strokes back of eventual tournament individual winner Carson Whittington of Creston.
