Pella Christian’s girls’ soccer team was shut out by Little Hawkeye Conference foe, Grinnell, on Saturday, 7 – 0. The Tigers scored two quick goals in the first fifteen minutes to take a 2 – 0 lead into halftime. Grinnell came out in the second 40 minutes and scored five goals within a ten minute span to put the game out of reach of the Eagles. Goalkeeper Jenna Roose did all she could; making 22 saves in goal. Saturday’s contest was the fourth in six days for Pella Christian, and the loss drops their record to 5 – 11 on the season. The Eagles wrap up their regular season on Thursday at Winterset.
