An incident at PCM Middle School this yesterday morning led to the evacuation of two PCM School buildings. Prairie City Police Chief Louis Modlin tells KNIA/KRLS News that yesterday morning at approximately 9:50 a.m. a written bomb threat was found by a PCM middle school student and turned over to staff members. PCM staff followed the emergency plan and safely removed students from the buildings at both the PCM Middle School and Prairie City Elementary. Law enforcement was notified and officers from the Prairie City Police Department, Baxter Police Department, DOT Motor Vehicle Enforcement and Jasper County Sheriff’s Office searched the building and found no dangerous device. A criminal investigation is ongoing.
