Knoxville Baseball Hopes Long Layoff Ends Tonight

Like the softball squad, the Knoxville Baseball Squad has also had a long stretch in between games due to back-to-back dates that were rained out. The Panthers should have five games by now…but only have last Friday’s win over Winterset as the only game completed. The Panther’s opponents, the Ames Little Cyclones, are in the same boat as Knoxville, as they have not yet had a game. Ames was supposed to have had a double header with Sioux City East on Saturday, but that was rained out. Tonight’s Panther home opener will start with a J-V game at five and the varsity at around seven.
