Knoxville Man in Jail after Being Accused of Forgery

A Knoxville man is in the Marion County jail after being accused of passing off forged $100 bills. 20-year-old Daniel Briggs faces five counts of forgery in a case related to fake $100 bills that have circulated in Knoxville over the past few days. Police Chief Dan Losada tells KNIA/KRLS News that Briggs was arrested on Monday. He adds they’ve also contacted the Secret Service regarding possible federal charges for Briggs.
