In what could be one of the earliest cancellations in recent memory, the Knoxville Raceway yesterday afternoon cancelled the racing at the track for this Saturday. According to Raceway Officials, wet conditions and continued weather forecast for more rain through the weekend was the reason for the early cancellation. With one week of competition in the books, the 410 class is led by Ian Madsen and last week’s winner Shane Stewart. Stewart is not expected to run every weekend. Clint Garner has the early lead in the 360s with Larry Ball Jr. holding the top spot in the 305s. The action gets going again May 11th with the first visit from the World of Outlaws.
