The Knoxville School Board is considering security upgrades to their buildings this summer. Superintendent Dr. Randy Flack tells KNIA/KRLS News that installing a key card and buzz-in system in their buildings would be more affordable than they first thought. He says the security company gave an estimate of $5500 per building. Dr. Flack says it’s a system that staff and administrators have discussed before. A representative from Strauss Security will give the School Board more information at an upcoming meeting. If approved, the systems could be installed this summer.
