Centerville is the only thing standing in the way of the Pella High boys’ soccer team from reaching the state tournament in 2013. The two teams will square off today at the Pella Soccer Complex, with the winner earning a trip to the Cownie Soccer Complex in Des Moines this Thursday. The Little Dutch are 12 – 5 – 2 entering play, Centerville is 13 – 3, and the last time these two teams played, back in 2011, Pella handily won 12 – 0. Coach Mark Solomon says that so far this season, his team has met two very big goals they set in the preseason. Today’s Class 2A substate final is scheduled to start at noon.
