Heavy snows led not only to a number of power outages in the county yesterday, but also to road closings. MidAmerican reports that over 1500 people lost power in Marion County. Pella Cooperative Electric reports that approximately 300 accounts were without power in Warren, Marion, and Jasper Counties. Most of those 300 outages were near Pleasantville and Killduff. All power has been restored by Pella Cooperative Electric, and MidAmerican reports over 200 customers are still without power in the county. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office reported over a dozen road closings due to lines down in the county.
