Melcher-Dallas will make their way to Moravia tonight for baseball and softball action. The Saints’ baseball team was held scoreless and hitless in their one and only game last week against Moulton-Udell, 5 – 0. Coach Jon Suntken told KNIA/KRLS Sports that his guys just couldn’t find a hole in their first game of the season, but had some sharply hit balls that were right at defenders. Moravia enters with an 0 – 2 record, as each team will be looking for their first win. The Saints’ girls are coming off an impressive win over their rival Twin Cedars on Thursday, 6 – 5, and will enter play at 2 – 1. Junior Anastasia Dennison went 2-for-3 that game and drove in three runs to help lead the team to the win. Lexi Crozier has been the starting pitcher in each of the three games this season for the Saints, and can expect her to be on the mound again tonight for this Bluegrass Conference matchup. Moravia’s softball team is 2 – 0 this season beating both Seymour and Mormon Trail. The baseball game is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. tonight with the softball game beginning at eight.
