After dominating the field at Bos Landen in the Class 2A sectional meet, the PCM boys’ golf team will try to take one big step towards their goal of being Class 2A champions today when the teams hits the road to Lake Panorama for the district meet. Devon Woody and Hunter Van Veen had the low scores at sectionals, with each golfer carding a 10-over 82 on one of Iowa’s toughest courses. The Mustangs also came in first in the near-20 team Pella Christian Invitational this past Monday. Coach Mike Smith said during this past Saturday’s Hy-Vee Radio Coaches Corner on KNIA/KRLS that the short game will be the biggest key to leave Panora with a ticket punched to the state meet. All of the exciting action tees off today at 10:00 a.m.
