It’s been almost a year since DMACC began their presence in Knoxville. Academic Advisor Chantel Boyd says that it’s been a exciting time. Boyd says this is the first time DMACC has hired an academic advisor has been hired for a community that didn’t have a campus presence. She explains it’s served as a pilot program, and that steady enrollment in classes has made it successful thus far.

Boyd hopes that awareness of what DMACC is offering continues to increase throughout the community. Boyd notes that the free computer classes being offered this spring have been very successful. She says that the vision for DMACC in Knoxville is bright, and they hope to continue to serve the community.
