It was the norm weather-wise for the PCM girls’ golf team, and they played right through the breezy, cold conditions to come away with a 22-stroke victory in the Heart of Iowa Conference tournament on Wednesday. Nevada was their next closest competitor to the Mustangs’ 382 with a 404. Maddie Peters shot a 94 to earn runner-up medalist honors, as 92 was the best score on the day. Cassidy Van Veen was fourth overall with a 95. Peters, Van Veen, Kelsey Van Veen and Rachel Phifer all finished in the top ten and earned all-conference honors. The Mustangs’ girls were supposed to be with Knoxville at Moravia for a meet today, but due to the impending weather, that has been cancelled.
