Five different Mustangs drove in a run on Tuesday as the PCM baseball team won 9 – 1 over East Marshall. Catcher Nate VandeWall went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a double, and Ethan Kain was 1-for-4 with a two-run double to help lead the offensive charge for PCM. Alex DeWitte was practically lights out on the mound; pitching four scoreless innings and striking out eight en route to his first victory of the season. Freshman Austin Brown came in in relief in the fifth and only gave up one run over three innings while mowing down four East Marshall batters. PCM is 1 – 0 to begin the 2013 campaign, and they’ll next play Norwalk on Thursday.
