If you turn your eyes to the skies Saturday morning you just might see airplanes flying in from all over the midwest to the annual Pella Airport Tulip Time Fly In. Airport Manager Shane Vande Voort tells KNIA/KRLS News that they have held the event annually since 2002, and if the weather is clear he expects over 80 planes to visit. Breakfast will be available to aviators and the general public rain, snow or shine, and Vande Voort encourages the public to come out and see what the airport and aviation has to offer the Pella Community, as well as see the many planes the airport houses regardless of whether or not the weather permits fly-ins.
