Two Little Hawkeye Conference rivals meet on the pitch at the Cownie Soccer Complex in Des Moines for an opening round match in the Class 2A boys’ state soccer tournament today as Pella and Norwalk face-off this afternoon. The Little Dutch enter today’s contest with a 13 – 5 – 2 record while Norwalk is 12 – 7. These two teams did battle earlier this month on the sixth, and it was the Warriors that edged Pella, 2 – 1, with both of their goals coming from Aaron Lundy and Daniel Obley who came off the bench in that game. KNIA/KRLS Sports will be in Des Moines for today’s game and will be providing live reports as the contest progresses. The round one contest is scheduled to start at 2:40 p.m.
