In what some might consider a “rematch” of last year’s Class 3A state boys’ golf tournament, the Pella Dutch edged Washington to win the 3A “Super Meet” on Tuesday. The Little Dutch shot an 18-hole team score of 321, with Washington second at 322, and Clear Lake third at 323. Five of the six teams in Tuesday’s meet were at the state meet in 2012, with only Grinnell taking the place of defending champion Decorah. Sean Rennich shot 77 to take third place, and Corey Elliott shot 80 for fifth place. The Little Dutch are 36 – 2 on the season, and will go to Chariton next this Saturday for an early morning meet.
Weather conditions were tough with 30 plus mph winds
