Both Pella Christian and PCM’s girls’ track teams were represented well in the third and final day of the Class 2A state track and field meet in Des Moines. The Eagles’ girls participated in the sprint medley relay finals to begin the morning session, and crossed the finish line on the Blue Oval first in their heat with a time of 1:54.55, which placed them in a tie for tenth overall after the final heat was ran. The Mustangs’ Rachel Peter also ran in the 1500 meters, and clocked a time of 5:28.94 for 23rd overall. Pella Christian’s girls were led by Madison Fopma’s third place effort in the high jump, which gave her team six points, while PCM did not have a top eight finish in this year’s state track meet.
