The Pleasantville girls’ golf team breezed by the field on Monday, winning in Colfax by 74 strokes over Melcher-Dallas and Colfax-Mingo. The Trojans shot a 205 on the day, and were led by senior Ashley Jahner who carded a nine-hole round of 44. Kaylie Thill and Hannah Gordon shared runner-up honors with their score of 52. Kirsten Mull recorded a 59 for the low score for the Saints. The Pleasantville boys were second to Colfax-Mingo and beat out third place Melcher-Dallas at the same venue. Clay Wetterling had a 49 and Austin Starckovich shot a 48 for the Saints’ boys. Both Saints’ teams are in action today at The Preserve in Moravia for a Co-ed meet, while the Pleasantville girls will also be at the Preserve but on Thursday, and the Trojans’ boys will golf next at sectionals on Friday.
