KNIA/KRLS’s Severe Weather Action Team went live yesterday as a Severe Thunderstorm rolled into southeastern Marion County. The warning was issued at about 4:15, lasting until 4:30. It was part of the locally heavy amounts of rain that the southeastern part of the county received, causing flash flood warnings there. In Knoxville/Pella, we received about 27-hundredths of an inch yesterday, bringing our total for the month up to around 6.95 inches – more than 2.5 inches above normal. Chances for storms continue the next few days, with a slight chance for severe weather today and tomorrow.
