A 19-year-old Knoxville man admitted his role in a sexual abuse case Friday. Jake Christian Smith pled guilty to sexual exploitation of a minor and third degree sexual abuse. Smith engaged in a sex act with a 15-year-old female in February that was filmed and distributed, unbeknownst to the victim. Smith will be sentenced on July 12th and faces up to 20 years in prison. 19-year-old Jordan Cowman, of Des Moines, is the person accused of filming the act. He appears next in court on May 17th.
