Pleasantville, Melcher-Dallas and Twin Cedars will be trying to take B-G-M and the rest of the field by storm in the Class 1A state qualifying meet today. In a battle to be in the top two, the boys’ relay events seem to be dominated at this point in the season by Sigourney, Lynnville-Sully, and Pleasantville. Cody Alexander for the Saints is second best of the schools at B-G-M in the 800 meter run. Twin Cedars’ Corey Harrell is also second in the shot put. The Trojans’, Saints’, and Sabers’ girls’ teams may have a tough time getting their events qualified for state; as Quik Stats shows most of the events are dominated by Lynnville-Sully and B-G-M. Again, the Bears are hosting this afternoon’s critical meet, and everything is scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m.
